Adopted by the Board of Directors of the Weston Soccer Club
The policies and supporting practices of the Weston Soccer Club (the “Club”) are built upon a philosophy, as well as a set of values, that include a strong belief that all members, coaches, and volunteers should be treated equally with dignity and respect. The Club is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all its members, volunteers, subcontractors, and vendors.
In accordance with this philosophy, the Club does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include but are not limited to, the selection and approval of Board Members, coaches, volunteers, vendors, players, and the overall provision of services.
In furtherance of this objective, the Club is committed to taking specific measures to ensure against discrimination in its recruitment, advertisements, acceptance policies, and overall provision of services. Any Member who believes that unlawful discrimination has occurred either to themselves or to some other member of the Club must consult with the Club’s then current President or President’s designee, as appointed, within a reasonable period of time following the alleged discriminatory action. The Club’s President or designee will then conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate action. No Member will be the subject of any retaliation for alleging discrimination or harassment, filing a complaint of discrimination or harassment, or for participating in any investigation into such a complaint.
